KeyStone Presents a New Live Webcast Show on StageIt

It’s September, and KeyStone is trying something new. We will be presenting our first-ever live webcast show using the impressive StageIt website. StageIt is similar to popular live streaming sites like Ustream and LiveStream, but with a few major differences.

Think of StageIt as a virtual coffee house or other live music venue. You buy a ticket, take a seat, and watch the show. It’s live and spontaneous. StageIt shows are not archived, which makes the show truly a “live” event that will not be viewed again. This creates more spontaneity between the performers and the audience. StageIt acts as the venue, paying the performance fees to ASCAP and BMI,  allowing musicians for free to create a web show, sell tickets, and actually make money doing what they do. StageIt then takes a cut of the tickets and tips to cover their operating expenses. All StageIt shows are 30 minutes in length, with an additional 20 minutes for “encores” if we’re extra-great!

Our show’s tickets are “Pay what you can”, which means you can pay as little as 10 cents to get your ticket! Here’s how it works:

1. You go to our show’s page here and click on “buy ticket” (there are only 50 seats available, so make sure you don’t miss out!)

2. You create a free StageIt account with an email address (don’t worry, they don’t spam you or get you a bunch of third-party emails)

3. You use PayPal or a credit card to buy the 50 Note minimum (1 StageIt note = $0.10) – StageIt requires you to buy $5 minimum to avoid credit cards hitting them with transaction fees for the small amounts.

4. You pay as little as 1 note ($0.10) to buy your ticket

5. You log on to our show’s webpage on Wednesday, September 12 at 8:00 PM Eastern and voila – there we are in your living room singing for you!

You can pay any amount you want for the ticket – so what do you do with the rest of your notes? There are several options:

1. You can use save the rest of the notes for another show (we plan to do more, plus there are some AMAZING musicians using StageIt, including Jason Mraz, Sara Barielles, Less Than Jake, and others).

2. You can send us notes as a TIP during the show! There’s a magic green tip button on the screen (we might even send a special prize to the highest tipper).

3. You can just pay the full $5.00 as your ticket cost and be done with it.

The suggested ticket price is 35 notes, or $3.50 – that leaves you $1.50 to tip us if you wish. You can also purchase more than the 50 ticket/$5.00 minimum to use for future shows.

Once you have purchased a ticket, StageIt will send you a reminder email about a day before the show so you can make sure you can be there.

We’ll be broadcasting live from the GoochPad in Macungie, PA – there will be songs, banter, songs, jokes, songs, and we might even take requests! There’s a chat window, so you can interact with us as you see fit. Please join us!
