KeyStone A Cappella's Kickstarter Campaign for Their Debut Album Officially Launched

Support us on Kickstarter

Over the past nine months, KeyStone A Cappella has been trekking northward to Rochester, New York, to lay down tracks for our debut album. Making good use of the professional services (and hospitality) of The Vocal Company, we literally moved into their 4,700 square foot recording studio for two extended weekends to work directly with producer Ted Trembinski to create an album of some of our favorite repertoire. These are the arrangements that we feel best define us as a group, and with the exception of some punch-ins in August, all of the recording is done!

Anyone who has ever recorded a professional album knows that it is an expensive undertaking. Studio recording time, editing and mixing time, and post-production mastering time are costly because the professionals who do it are worth the investment. Making physical CDs and download cards available via duplication services is an additional expense that makes it possible for our concert audiences to experience instant gratification as well. We have been successful at funding the initial recording sessions and some of the editing and mixing time through our own hard work as paid performers in the greater Philadelphia area. For the remaining expenses, however, we are calling on our friends, families, andsupporters for help.

KeyStone A Cappella officially launched our Kickstarter fundraising campaign at our concert on July, 10th, 2014. The audience members in attendance at Melodies Cafe got an opportunity to suggest album titles, hear some of the songs that will be on the album, and even got to watch our promotional video live on a movie screen!

As of this announcement, we have already received very generous support getting us well on our way to the final goal of $5,000. The campaign runs until August 31st.

We would like to extend a special message of appreciation to Brent Hurlock of Editvision for donating his time and expertise to edit our Kickstarter video. We think you will agree that his work is excellent.

If all goes as planned, we are aiming to have our debut album in your hands, ears, and hearts by the end of this year. If we surpass this fundraising goal, we have some additional surprises for you. Please help us spread the word about this exciting project so that we can bring the best of KeyStone A Cappella to audio devices everywhere.
