KeyStone got their start as a group when its members met each other as performers with The A Cappella Project – Philadelphia, a non-profit organization that promotes contemporary a cappella singing in the greater Philadelphia area. Although some of the group had met first in college, it was really Project-Philly that solidified us and gave us the opportunity to come together.
This weekend, we are once again returning to the stage at Lower Merion High School to participate in Project-Philly’s 2nd Annual Summer Clinic and Showcase Concert. This year, the featured clinicians are Amy Engelhardt (formerly of The Bobs) and Jeff Thacher (currently with Rockapella). We will get to perform for them and get immediate feedback, as will another guest group and the three summer 2012 groups sponsored by Project-Philly.
We’ll also get to perform as part of an aca-choir led by our friend Shawn Pearce of Value Vocals A Cappella Arrangements. Shawn will lead us in a rehearsal of two of his arrangements developed just for the occasion.
The evening showcase is free and open to the public. Donations to Project-Philly’s charity, the Ani Fiordimondo Scholarship Fund, will be accepted at the door. Details for the concert can be found on Facebook here or off-Facebook here.
Come out and catch us! We’re singing a 20-minute set!
